We children can make many small changes, but still can help change lives. we can make ourselves heard, to get people to help fight against the problem.
Also children can see the problem of our future, but adults think that the children are to dumb to recognize the global problems.
There are too ways of helping... You can protest against something, like my mum did when she was younger. She protested against killing animals for fur. But now, sadly, that doesn’t happen any more, that often.
Or you can invent something, like FaceBook. A young boy invented FaceBook, so you can communicate to each other, what ever country you are in. that was a little problem before, but now its solved because of a teenager!
The major causes are Local causes and Enviromental causes.
I was once walking in a park in Austria, I passed some children selling hot chocolate. A girl, asked, "Would you like to help support our park and playground? It's only 1 Euro a cup." I couldn't help saying no to our park. It seems that this group of kids, who were having great fun, that they were helping a local cause. I think that it feels great to help someone! No matter your age or the size, you can change something, what ever you do. baking cookies, donating toys, making hot coco. and you can help by, jut buying a hot coco!! its easy, but you have to see the problem, if you think
Quote: ‘ Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed children can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has!’
1) Parents treat their children equally
I disagree. Parents may try to treat their children equally, but in my opinion, often do not succeed. Age is one of the influences on parents, also position within the family (oldest, middle, baby etc). An example would be when there is a small age gap between siblings, like my sister and I, then the younger may get things at the same time as their older sibling - just like my sister and I! She gets what I get (electronics, bed times, movie rating, sleepovers etc).
The first born child gets all the attention until another child comes along .This might be why the eldest can feel that they do not get as much time and attention, because they are used to it ALL!
Personality has something to do with it, some children demand more attention than others.
As the eldest I am the 'experiment' - the first which means parents are not experienced, they learn as the child grows.
Most children think that they get less attention than their siblings and that "it's not fair"! Children exaggerate differences in what they are allowed, children can be prone to bragging to their siblings so that their sibling is jealous of them.
Another influence on the parents would be the amount of time they have for the child. If one of the children have got homework, ASA etc. when the parent has free time, obviously their other children would get the attention at this time.
Although no parent likes to admit that they have favourite children, they might. Maybe some parents don't even like some of their children. This can happen, but people don't like to talk about it.
The amount of attention that is given will vary according to circumstances, if a child is sick, has a disability, is struggling with school etc. then they will usually gets more attention because they need it.
So as you can see, I think that there are very many reasons why parents do not treat their children equally.

The Tulip Touch-Anticipitation Guide- Carlo
I Agree, because not every human is perfect and they will never always make the correct choices. Everybody has already done something bad to someone and they could have been hurt, not physical but also emotional. For example if you call someone a bad thing or you swear at them you would find it fun but the other person might be hurt by it. Another great example is bullying, because the bully will find it fun and the victim won’t the victim will be hurt, no mather if it is verbal or physical bullying.
So I will come to the conclusion that I agree that it is fun to do bad things even if people might be hurt in the process because it is naturaly human to do bad things and not always be perfect.

Unit Three- Novel Study - Anticipation Guide
a) State whether you Agree or Disagree with the following statements.
b) Provide a few sentences to justify your Agree or Disagree response.
c) Pick ONE to develop into a lengthier, more in-depth response (250 word minimum).
1) Parents treat all the their children equally.
2) Children’s behavior is based more on genetics than their surroundings- nature vs. nurture.
3) Children have the ability to make changes, help others in need, and even save lives.
4) It’s not difficult for children to make friends with children who are very different than themselves.
5) Children who have troubled homes will always have problems when they grow up.
6) People should feel bad about things which are not their fault.
7) Sometimes it’s fun to do bad things even if people might get hurt in the process.

Book Review:
My independent reading selection is from a very famous author called Anthony Horowitz, the name is More Bloody Horowitz. It is a book with more than 1 little stories, it has 10 stories. It was published on the 6th of September in 2010. The genre of the book is horror but it also contains a little bit of a thriller. It is very bloody and very catchy because the stories are short but very well written. All of the stories are very good and really stay with the genre horror. One of my favorite stories was were there is a writer and he writes on a horror story for 11 years and then somebody copies the book. He then kills that person and i won’t give out the ending. The book is very good and it reminds me of this other horror book that i read in 5th grade. I would really recommend everybody to read this book because it is very good.
